The Growers’ Collaborative aims to help build a regional food system by providing distribution from local farms to local institutions. A regional food system not only reduces ‘food miles’ but also increases the available market for our agricultural community. In addition to providing more outlets for farm products, the Growers’ Collaborative strives to increase access to local fresh fruits and vegetables in areas without.

Knowing Your Farmers
All growers within the collaborative are family-owned and operated. Family farms are a crucial piece of a sustainable food system - and comprise farms where the owners play active roles in the day-to-day operations. Growers' Collaborative partners with farmers who are excited to provide information about their farm history, production methods, produce, and location - all of which Growers' Collaborative shares with customers. We work with our customers to help them determine what is local for their area and how they can implement a local food sourcing policy while keeping on budget through purchasing food in season.
Fresh Produce Delivered
The Growers' Collaborative is a large-scale virtual farmers’ market that sells local and seasonal fruits and vegetables from family farms to schools, universities, hospitals, and corporate cafeterias. Currently, the Growers' Collaborative serves growers and institutions in the Sacramento and Bay Area, Southern California, Central Valley, and the Central Coast. Online ordering makes it easy for customers to plan for the coming week's produce needs. The Community Alliance with Family Farmers is a statewide non-profit that works to build a movement of rural and urban people to foster family-scale agriculture that cares for the land, sustains local economies and promotes social justice. The Growers Collaborative, LLC is wholly owned by CAFF, and is part of CAFF’s Community Food Systems program.
